Down by the riverside....

On Sunday there were three baptisms at Carrollton. Charles, a familiy friend since middle school and one of the ministers I am blessed to be working with this summer, baptized his two brothers and his mom into Christ. I'm not sure if I've ever seen anyone as old as her (she is 72) go into the water to be born again. It got me thinking about how many seeds were sown in Ms. Marsalis' life for her to come to this decision. I wonder how many prayers were prayed for her? While I know that Charles played a huge part in her coming to know Christ, I have to wonder how many others played a part (albeit a miiscule one). It made me thankful to have people like Charles and Angela (his wife) as part of my Christian family. They are two people who, despite all the things that might tell them otherwise- have never given hope on the people they love. I wish I could be more like them. Sometimes, life really is beautiful.
